I was trying to think of a good way to phrase my outlook on life for French, and (of course) I Wikipedia'd it. I started out trying to decide between "Hakuna Matata" and "Be Prepared" (the boyscout motto, also a song from The Lion King). There were better ones, though. It's interesting that the NSA has "Anything is possible, the impossible just takes longer." What does that have to do with National Security? The Women's Social and Political Union has "Deeds not words" as theirs, which reminds me of Mary E. Lease and "raise less corn, more hell." I could have "taxation without representation is tyranny," but really, T. Paine just cared so much more about those tea taxes than I ever would. I think I've decided on something pretty common, but oh well.

Maybe some of that drug tea... Dec. 12th, 2006 @ 09:06 pm
Four, tres, two, uno.

Like Venezela said, "America is a bunch of capitalist, imperialist PIGS." I think I might quote him in my English paper. Also on his policy of blowing up the Spratly Islands and ordering pizza with an hour left of committee. The english paper will proably less that adequate, but atleast I will end up having a marginal twelve pages. I'm debating including Cornelius Vanderbilt and the Nicaraguan railroad, although it has little to do with the topic. If I could research how America and Britain actually took control of the railroad, this would be pretty useful, but unfortunately there is not very much information about Nicaraguan railroads.

D to the E to the L I C I O U S!

Noam Chomsky is pretty cool. Nah, I didn't read it, atleast in it's entirety. I flipped through to find the best and most relevant parts. It's much better than Michael Moore's "Dude, Where's my Country?" because Chomsky is just worlds more coherent, and he doesn't footnote everything. I keep thinking as I'm writing this thing: Should I include the quote from Monty Python? "What have the Romans done for you?" I think it's a really good counter argument (opener, not by itself) because America thinks it's 'bringing peace' or 'aqueducts' or something like that. It was in one of my sources, and I might be jeapordizing the credibility of the source by including it, but I did find it hilarious and otherwise a very good point.

GREAT JOB AT POPS CONCERT Y'ALL!

Only a few more days 'till we depart for the *first colony in America* where lived Richard Henry Lee! Excited? You bet. Plus Gettysburg! We are going to be having *so much* historical fun.

Cheers!
